Sami Rae Puts “PetPeePee” to the Test
Being a neighborhood pet shop we are always searching for great American made products— and when possible—we choose small innovative companies.
Recently I was told about a new product for removing pet stains and urine odors from carpeting and flooring. It sounded perfect since it met my criteria; a unique American product and locally produced—Plus, it’s all natural and very Green. The small family owned company, located in Pompano Beach, Florida, developed this product after years of working in the service business of eliminating pet stains and odors. It’s uniquely named “PetPeePee".
I called for more information and spoke with Arbel— manager, and the owners’ daughter. We hit it off right away. Her enthusiasm for their product was contagious and I laughed when she said “It is so safe and natural you can drink it, although, it does have a bitter taste”. Now that’s dedication. Arbel was so confident she offered to send me a promotional bottle to try at home. It was at my doorstep the next day.
I have four small dogs—Brussels Griffons. They have very good bathroom skills and rarely make a mistake in the house. I really wanted to try the product, so it was probably confusing for my 8 month old puppy, Sami Rae, when I tried to get her to pee on the carpet (just kidding). As it turns out, she peed on our bathroom rug. And, of course, I wouldn’t find out until 11pm when I stepped on the spot with my bare foot. But, opportunity knocks, or in this case, nature called. Anyway, I grabbed the bottle of PetPeePee, read the directions, and went to work. The next morning, when I examined the rug, it was stain and odor free. I’ve tried many other cleaners, and they do a good job removing stains, but detergent type products fail at removing lingering odors—not so with PetPeePee.
Other than side-ward glances from my puppy, all ended well, and we have another trusted product we can confidently recommend to our customers, but I’ll probably need a whole case of PetPeePee until I can convince Sami that peeing in the house was a one time deal. Oh, by the way, their product does taste terrible, but a bit of rum smoothes out the bitter taste. Did I mention it’s great on pet stains?
